2018 in the Baltic: Museum tour in Tallinn
Great Guild Hall (The Estonian City Museum), 11,000 years of Estonian history, as well as the history of the Guild.
Then Hotel Viru and the KGB museum (great views, but not much in terms of information or any exciting displays).
Finally, the City Museum (main site), in a 14th Century merchant's house.

2018 in the Baltic: Arrival in Tallinn.
Yesterday was mostly devoted to travelling to Tallinn, finding my way to my accommodation, and finally finding some reasonable place to have dinner at such late hour.
Of course, before settling for any restaurant, I did some wandering in the Old Quarter, from Independence Square, towards and around Old Townhall Square, etc. And while I was enjoying the sightseeing, most restaurants were closing for the night.
Fortunately I still managed to find this excellent burger place with a good range of local beer.
And after a delicious burger of Estonian beef, with double burger, double cheese, red onion and pickles, in black rye bread, and a couple of dark beers, it was time to head to bed.

2018: Unfortunately, technical problems arise.
I was looking forward to update this blog daily with a selection of pictures, but some technical problems have arisen when trying to transfer the pictures to my computer to upload them to the blog.
I'll have to explain my visit in writting, and the pictures will eventually follow.

2018: A quick tour around the Baltic Republics
Finally, some holidays. And, for a change from my journeys in the last few years, finally some travelling to a new place that is not related to work, conferences, and such.
It will be a very short trip, somewhat rushed, but nevetheless a good first glimpse of the three countries that became famous by being early escapees from the Soviet Union.
That's it!! Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Everything is ready, luggage is packed, tomorrow the journey starts.
